Traditional Spices Making

No to fast consumer culture.

We don’t chase mass production or the noise of fast consumer culture. Instead, we return to something older, a slower rhythm, rooted in community and tradition.

Local. Seasonal. Slow-made.

Each batch begins with what nature offers. Harvested in its own time, and crafted by local communities. We follow the rhythm of the seasons, not the clock.

Never more than needed.

Our spices and ingredients are only prepared for those who pre-order. It’s a simple act of trust that helps us stay true to our values. No surplus. No waste.

FAQs

Why small-batch?

Because care cannot be scaled. Small-batch work preserves fragile aromas, prevents waste, and moves with the rhythm of local farming. It takes patience and labour, yet the reward is flavour that feels alive, rooted deeply in land and culture.

How do you source?

We work directly with family growers, cooperatives, and trusted local suppliers across the Himalayan basin and river valleys, including chars, hill slopes, and coastal regions. We prioritise low-input, regionally adapted varieties and time-honoured methods that respect both ecology and community.

Are you organic?

No, we are not certified organic. We use non-GMO varieties, grown in their natural seasons. Each batch is prepared using traditional, sustainable methods that honour the land and the people who tend it.

Can I buy anything instantly instead of pre-ordering?

No. We work on a made-to-order, small-batch principle. If you require something urgently, contact us and we will let you know if a small reserve is available or if we can prioritise a specific lot.

How long will the spices and oils stay fresh?

It depends on form and storage. Ground spices or ingredients are most vibrant within 6–9 months, while whole spices may hold their character for 1–2 years. Oils, if kept cool and away from light, remain live and fresh for up to a year. Always use clean, dry utensils to avoid contamination.

Can I request custom blends, chef-scale quantities, or business orders?

Yes. We create bespoke blends, collaborate with chefs, and prepare limited wholesale lots. Since everything is tied to small-batch work and seasonal availability, custom orders are treated as individual projects. Contact us to discuss your needs.

What is your return and refund policy?

If an item arrives damaged, defective, or mislabelled, please contact us immediately with photos and details. We will replace or refund affected products. Each case is handled individually, with fairness as our guiding principle.

Is your packaging eco-friendly?

Yes. We design our packaging to minimise waste while keeping products safe and fresh. Our default jars are reusable glass, and labels are printed on handcrafted paper wherever possible. For local customers, we offer refill and return programmes. For wholesale or gift orders, we can tailor packaging to further reduce single-use materials.
